Different councils have different policies on registration, but councils cannot deviate from BSA national registration. I have never heard of a 17 year old having to pay twice in one year because they turned 18, not saying it has'nt happened, ...

... with a canned form, but it's in direct contradiction to the process. I don't see that anything is gained by doing this. And you should consult the policies on advertising or promoting your own products in the forums.

... Troop Committee Chair is a member of this forum. (I just found out). I agree. Too many egos and Scouters making up their versions of BSA Rules, Policies and Procedures is in my opinion the reason BSA Membership numbers are down.

I've done as I suggested, make the edits to the "talk" page, for all the sea scout ranks. I hope that they will be used.

I've sent an email requesting permission to edit advancement requirements, and suggested a way to contribute w/o having edit rights. Make the changes on the Talk page for the intended page, then make sure a sysop is notified of the changes so that they can review them and make them if they are demed...
